Vintage 1956 National Chicagoan Lap Steel.

This “Chicagoan” was manufactured by Valco of Chicago. The firm was founded by three former National Dobro Co. personnel thus the brand name “National” attached. This six string steel is original. Note the music notation and clef theme in the neck graphic with numbers providing position indications. The black and grey “Pearloid” finish is intact. The original bottom liner material is intact also. The male Amphenol connector is original and has not been replaced with a 1/4″ socket as sometimes done. The original braided-cover cord with 1/4″ plug and female connector is included. This instrument is offered with the original case in good condition all hardware present and working.
